Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information act requires that the Parish Council keep and make available certain information. The FOI act categorises them as follows:
Who we are and what we do.
Organisational information, locations and contacts, constitutional and legal governance.
What we spend and how we spend it.
Financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts.
What our priorities are and how we are doing.
Strategy and performance information, plans, assessments, inspections and reviews.
How we make decisions.
Policy proposals and decisions. Decision making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultations.
Our policies and procedures.
Current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities.
Lists and registers.
Information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the authority.
You can select and view online the register of interests for all Parish Councillors by clicking here.
The services we offer.
Advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases. A description of the services offered.
As a small Parish Council we only cover a small number of these functions and so only keep a subset of the documents. The full list of the documents that the Ringsfield and Weston Parish Council retain is as follows:
Councillors Declaration of Interests
The Parish Councils responses to Planning applications
As the Parish Councillors are Trustees of the Ringsfield and Weston Recreation Ground and Village Hall Charity we also keep:
Minutes of Trustee meetings
All these records are available for public inspection. Should you require a paper copy of any of the agendas or minutes then it is possible to obtain copies. However please note the Parish Clerk has very limited printing and copying facilities and we will need to cover our costs. Therefore a charge of 10p per page plus any postage and packaging will be levied. Other records are all hand written into notebooks and so are only available for inspection.
